The hill that you can see from here has a beautiful village on it. Go there by car, elevator or use the stairs! There is a beautiful church up there too, the Santuário Nossa Senhora da Nazaré.

Praia do Norte has become famous since Garrett McNamara surfed the world’s biggest wave. It is necessary to be careful, because it is not a guarded beach!

LIGHT HOUSE

Forte de São Miguel. From the lighthouse you can see all of Nazaré and the “Praia do Norte”: the famous beach where Garrett McNamara surfed the biggest wave in the world! There is also a museum inside the lighthouse, well worth a visit! Here you can learn about the history of the Grand Canyon, big waves and surfing.
